You cannot run, exercise or play any sport at any level if one of these joints starts to malfunction. A person may experience discomfort constantly along with soreness in any or all of these joints. While joint pains can be cured at home through natural remedies but at times there is no other way than to call for assistance. Joint pain can have multiple causes. These are mostly minor and you don’t have to rush to the hospital for that. A bag of ice would do the job in minor cases. But if a serious strain occurs to your joint or a sprain in the knee causes damage to your interior collateral ligament, things can get serious and surgery is required in some cases.

Sprains have their affects on ligaments and joints while strains affect muscles and tendons. You may suffer these kinds of injuries in thighs, calves or the groin area.

Also there’s a common misconception among patients, confusing fibromyalgia with arthritis. There are multiple trigger points in a human body and a person is said to have the syndrome if he experiences pain in as much as 11 of the total 18 trigger points. Some of the most common body trigger points are upper chest, hips, knees, shoulder tops and back of the head area.

#3. Arthritis:

Arthritis is among the top causes of joint pain. It has as much as 100 types while two of the most common ones are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Arthritis is mostly observed in aged people. The symptoms develop slowly over time along with their slow physical effects. It is mostly found in people aged 60 or above. This does not in any way mean that younger people cannot have this disease.

Arthritis is commonly found in women as compared to men and also in overweight people as compared to those that are slimmer. Having stiffness, pain and swelling in joints are among main symptoms of arthritis. You may also experience red rashes around the area of the concerned joint.
